After presenting some tools for fine-tuning your basic marketing materials, we’ll talk about how to make optimal use of social networking tools (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter) to grow your name recognition, and how to tap into the translation blogosphere as a reader, commenter or writer.Drawing from the presenter’s experience working with both agencies and direct clients, we’ll discuss strategies for increasing your earning power with both types of clients and how to pre-screen clients before you start working with them. In addition, we’ll look at some strategies for thriving in a down economy, improving your writing and editing skills and expanding your range of services to diversify your income base.
